On this very special Off-Topic episode, Nolan is joined by the entire Dead Ringers crew — Emily von Seele, Paul Farrell, Ben McBride, Kat Adams, Thomas Foster, and Philip Yount — for the first time ever to discuss the best horror movies of 2018. Nearly 50 movies enter the ring, but only 10 will fight their way to the top (or rather, someone will fight on their behalf to get them to the top).

Editor’s Note: As mentioned on the episode, this particular method of end of year discussion is 100% inspired by and attributed to the video game website, Giant Bomb. Many of us have long been fans of that website and its end of year podcasts and we wanted to bring that energy to a discussion about horror movies. It allows us to shine a light on a lot of movies rather than presenting individual (but likely overlapping) lists and targeting a much smaller number of films. This process (as Giant Bomb members have stated) also shines a light on how arbitrary the process of list-making is while providing listeners an inside look at how lists come together.
